Bloody Hell...

My day at work was absolutely horrible! In a nutshell, every possible obstacle that could have been put in my way was. I survived though, and even managed a few miracles in the last hour and a half. That doesn't make up for having to be at work at 6:30am only to not have the client who you are busting your ass for not show up!

So I got home around 5:30pm mentally and physically exhausted. I couldn't even bring myself to either go get a hot meal or nuke one up. I had cereal for supper. Nice. I actually closed up my place and went to bed at 8pm... only to wake up at 10:30. So, after I finish this rant, off I go to bed again. I am trying t0 remember where I put the NyQuil. Crap, I'm out. Not a tranquilizer to be found.

I have had 3 days off of Oklahoma. Tomorrow it's back to it. The first show the 2nd weekend always seems to suffer. Frankly put, we got the show open (relief), then went home and forgot what the hell we are doing. No excuses, just the facts! Here's to hoping we don't suffer this curse. It's not fair to the audience, our fellow cast members (some of us worked... MINUTES... memorizing our lines for 5 minutes of stage time!), or the director.

I leave you with these fine words quoted by me during last Sunday's matinee -- "Casture for the Pattle..."

No, that isn't a typo, and yes, it was a solo line sung in full baritone glory... but at least I sang it with conviction!

Reminds me of back in the day at DMTC, when Linda W. -- as Lalume in "Kismet" -- said with much volume and gusto, "In the sound, the distance of a lone camel..."
