Friday night...
and "Almost" here is about to head into another Poker game. I am really excited. As much as I love performing, this well needed break is so far proving to be the right medicine for me.
So, I heard some pretty interesting news... One of my friends who I sort of lost touch with got divorced, and has since met a new girl. Things are going so well she is actually gonna move across the country to be with him. Nice. Here's the interesting part... the new girl not only has the same name as his ex-wife, but their birthdays are only 1 day apart! To my friend I say BRAVO!!!! Now that's planning!
With that double stroke of genius, you should be able to avoid two of the classic guy memory blunders: forgetting the girl's name in the throes of passion and forgetting her birthday.
Dear readers, I will update you with the cheers or the angst of this evening's tournament.

I have to differ with you on your friend's "genius."
As long as he's together wuth this woman, every time he calls her by name, she'll have that small worry in the back of her mind that he was really calling her by his former girlfriend's name by mistake.
And he might worry that she's worrying about that.
Even if he wasn't.
Even if she wasn't.
Sounds less like genius to me and more like the secret cause of every fight they'll ever have.
you're a great poker teacher - that poker game - my first - was a blast, and your friends were lots of fun! although i had the most chips at one point (you might say it was beginners luck, but i would insist that it was my fine-tuned poker playing prowess), i lost most of them when you went "all in" and smoked me out...but you didn't do so badly yourself, did you?! p.s...now that you're so flush with $$, i'm having visions of the future, and there are lots of shiny things in it...
